Perris Resident Bludgeoned to Death in Her Home

Violent crimes do occur in Perris. An example of such a case involved a 23-year old woman who was murdered in her Perris home. She was at home alone in January when a 28-year old man arrived at her residence.

Not long after his arrival, the man attacked the woman. He ended up bludgeoning her multiple times and left her for dead.

Emergency rescue personnel and the Riverside Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the scene. Law enforcement immediately began an investigation. Emergency medical personnel attempted to save the beaten woman. Despite their efforts, she died.

Although a suspect was identified, law enforcement was unable to track him down in the aftermath of the murder. He is the subject of an ongoing manhunt. Investigators believe that the alleged perpetrator of the homicide is in Southern California or possibly has made his way south to Mexico.

Biohazard Cleanup in Perris

When a violent death occurs in a home or business, including homicide or suicide, the aftermath can prove highly challenging. Family members and other loved ones face tremendous grief as a result of this type of unimaginable loss.

Beyond the seemingly overwhelming bereavement process, family members and other loved ones can also face the prospect of having to undertake biohazard cleanup following a homicide, suicide, or unattended death.

Following a violent death, the scene can be contaminated with blood, bodily fluids, and other biological material. The possibility exists that blood and other biological materials can contain dangerous pathogens. Exposure to these pathogens can result in a person becoming infected with certain types of viruses and bacteria. Pathogens commonly transferred in this manner include:

  • HIV
  • Hepatitis B
  • Hepatitis C
  • MRSA

Because of the prospect of infection with dangerous pathogens following a violent death, obtaining the services of an experienced biohazard cleanup professional can be recommended. A professional biohazard remediator typically follows a four-step process to restore the scene of a traumatic death to a livable or usable condition. These four steps usually are:

  • Essential cleanup of the site
  • Sanitization
  • Deodorization
  • Restoration

Proper personal protective equipment is a must when it comes to biohazard cleanup in Perris. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sets forth the type of personal protective equipment that must be used when cleaning up after a violent or traumatic death:

  • Mask or ventilator
  • Goggles
  • Gloves
  • Uniform, apron, or smock

The Emotional Impact of Biohazard Cleanup in Perris

Beyond the physical risks associated with biohazard cleanup, there is an emotional component to the process as well. Following a traumatic death that results in a scene contaminated with blood and other biological material, family members oftentimes are the individuals charged with the cleanup.

Family members are already facing a tough grieving and bereavement process. That process is only made worse, and usually significantly so if a person elects to undertake the cleanup process personally. In order to avoid making the bereavement process even more challenging, the consistent recommendation is that a biohazard cleanup specialist is engaged to remediate the situation and restore the premises to their prior condition.

A professional remediator has worked with families and other loved ones in these types of situations. They approach the task at hand with professionalism on all levels. This includes working with surviving family members in a compassionate manner.
